Mr Picton has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry, having held senior positions in both British Telecom and AAPT. Whilst at BT he was a Senior Executive within their international operations and held several business development positions in Asia Pacific. At AAPT, he served as Director of Marketing & Strategic Development and held multiple other Director roles in its subsidiaries such as Connect.com & Cellular One.

In January 2000 he founded GoTalk which over 10 years grew to become the largest prepaid communications company in Australia & New Zealand.

In 2011 he founded FuzeNet and LBNCo, providing competitive fibre solutions and consumer internet services which were acquired by the ASX listed Uniti Group for over $110 million.

Mr Picton holds a Bachelor of Science in Technology and a Master's of Business from London Business School (LBS) is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a Member of The Institute of Company Directors. He is also a Sloan Fellow which was awarded to him 1993 by the Sloan Foundation as part of the joint MIT, Stanford and LBS universities programme. He is currently engaged in a programme at LBS exploring the application of AI in business.

He has been a board Director of over 20 companies and is currently on the board of ASX-listed Echo IQ Ltd (ASX: EIQ).
